My name is Claire, and I’m a knitter. There. I’ve admitted it – I have a little bit of an obsession with all things yarn-y, and especially those things when paired with needles and the like. While dealing with this “problem,” I also attempt to go to college, and hope one day to become successful, both in life and in trying to manage knitting and a “normal life.” I’m studying Actuarial Mathematics and English Literature in college (though for sake of privacy, I won’t post which university I attend here … though I may slip up eventually), which gives me plenty of time to knit while reading, and studying, and relaxing, and basically whenever I can.
I love knitting, and have kind of grown up doing it – I remember sitting on my grandmother’s knee learning the stitches. And though I took an extended break from knitting, I’ve come to find it as a way to relax, as well as a way to connect with the memory of my grandmother. I rarely make anything for myself, instead I donate hats and scarves to local hospitals, birthing centers, and homeless shelters, so that those people who need hand-made items bursting with love and passion may get them.
